Explore Acting Techniques

Students explore a range of trusted acting methods and techniques. Through practical and fun exercises, improvisations, and scene studies, they refine their skills in observation, listening, improvisation, emotional expression and connection, building a diverse toolkit to support their acting journey. Our structured curriculum enables students to delve into the intricacies of character building, learning to refine their performances with authenticity and depth.

Behind the Camera Insights

Working alongside casting assistants, students have the unique opportunity from an insiders perspective into the behind the scenes casting process. With our regular audition workshops using industry-standard audition material, students receive tips and guidance to master both in-person and self-tape audition techniques. By practicing these essential skills in a supportive environment, they gain the confidence and assurance needed to navigate professional auditions with ease. Our casting workshops bring invaluable experience, tailored to prepare students for the ever-evolving demands of auditions today.

Script Analysis

Students engage in script analysis, breaking down scripts from TV shows, films, audition materials and more to gain a deeper understanding of their characters. Our students explore these texts using various methods to uncover the motivations and conflicts that drive their characters to bring depth and truth to their performances. Through engaging exercises, we equip young actors with the tools they need to interpret scripts with clarity and creativity, enabling them to portray characters convincingly and compellingly in both TV and film.

On-Camera Experience

Regular on-camera practice helps in shaping students' on-screen presence and refining their technique. Using professional equipment, students engage in scene work, building comfort and confidence in front of the lens. In our supportive and dynamic environment, students are encouraged to explore their creativity, expand their horizons, and, above all, enjoy themselves. Throughout the year, students also build showreel material to showcase their talent.

End-of-Year Short Film Project

As the year progresses, students begin working towards an end-of-year short film project, putting their skills on screen and gaining insight into the various roles and responsibilities that contribute to the creation of a film.  This concludes with a special screening event, where students' hard work and dedication are showcased and celebrated. Families, friends, and industry professionals are invited to attend!
